With reference to the recent proposed bill against "HATE SPEECH" on our Social Media which death penalty is proposed for anyone found wanton if the bill eventually scale to become a law.
The bill proposed some weeks back has been able to scale through it's second reading stage in the Nigeria Chief Legislative Chamber which cause a worry to very many Nigerians kicking against the further passage of this Malicious bill intended to shut the Masses from speaking against the thorns in their necks called Leaders on the only available platform(Social Media) to a common Man.

It should interest you to know that Nigerian Leaders are fast and good at hastily passing and making laws with direct harms to the poor common man than they do when the bill is expected to have a direct advantage to the common man.

What is wrong if a bill is proposed for Public Funds Looters to be sentenced to death by hanging? What is wrong if a bill is passed for a Governor owing Salaries to be Sentenced to death by hanging? What is wrong if we have a law that says any Political office holder who fails to deliver on all his or her campaign promises be sentenced to death? In fact if bills as those mentioned above are propose in that same house today, it will be kicked out and thrown to the dustbin because they know everyone of them in the Ruling class would fall a victim of such laws.

Recently, Canada passed a law where a Citizen whose car got damaged as a result of bad road is been Compensated by the government for failure to repair the roads, and the UK recently made a law where Unemployed Youths Monthly Salaries is been increased as a form of compensations and apology from the government on their failure to employ these Youths.

Fine, there are lots of hate speeches in our Social and even big Media but this shouldn't be where our priorities are directed rather we should also show same seriousness in Building Massive industries across Nigeria, Rebuilding our Schools and Hospitals furnished with the World Standard educational and clinical Materials, Cutting down the exorbitant Political office holders Salaries and allowances, Reparing the death traps called roads, Boosting the Nigeria Economy to create very high standards of living for every Nigerian, Providing houses for every Nigerian and Making Nigeria the business center of the World not passing bills with zero relevance to clamp down those criticizing your excesses termed HATE SPEECH.

I so wish and pray the Legislative Wing of the government to with immediate effect drop the bill and move to things with direct bearings on the Common Man that need urgent attentions and fast passed bills.
