What went wrong with Governor Bello
BY: COMR. SIR HASSAN OZIGIS
(UNIJOS NAES PRESIDENT, PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACTIVIST AND WRITER.)
Governor Yahaya Bello was a young man sent by God to redeem the people of Ebiraland and Kogi entirely of their long time sufferings from Maladministrations and mismanagements by the past Leaders of the State but unfortunately for him those who welcome him to Kogi on his arrival from Makurdi whom he later appointed to hold sensitive positions and offices turned out to be Sycophants, Hypocrites, Extravagants and people with no ideas to sell to the Governor apart from milking the State dry through the opportunity given to them to serve their States under the incumbent Government.
It became so imperative to many that Governor Yahaya Bello came home on a serious business to revitalise and drive Kogi to a new direction of positive change but but was misled by those asslickers for money who cares not of the development of the State as long as they are creating wealths and living homungous lifestyles at the detriment of the common man.
Most of these Appointees were picked from Nobody to become somebody but failed to help those in their communities and wards to rise with them, rather they isolated themselves from the people, they felt so big and unreachable by a common man, they never touched the lives of the people positively, they never listened to the cry of the people and they achieved nothing other than their stomachs that became swollen.
First they decieved the Governor with Workers screening which after the exercise they install foreign names to the payroll to continue from where the part administrations accused of adulterating the payroll ended, they decieved and convinced the Governor to believe that no one was owed a dime as salary, they made the Governor to believe that no one is suffering in Kogi and hence no need for the Governor to believe the bitter cry of the people and other numbers atrocities they made the Governor to commit.
Whilst this was on there were of these Appointees with positive ideas but were forced to join them or pushed away from the Governor and some killed to prevent the Governors eyes from been opened to their unclean mind towards the Governor.
These few men with positive ideas became irrelevant and hence decided to belong to the many instead of been lied against to the Governor and sacked.
I hence advice the Governor to build good legacies for himself in this second term by sacking those that contributed nothing positive for the betterment of the State in the past three years.
The Governor should sort for new and better people that would sacrifice whatever it takes to see the Governor record gargantuan achievements in the end of his tenure.
The Governor should be bold to face anyone to say go and not take people in, in order not to be seen as enemy or as been forgetful of where we started from at the detriment of his name and his future endeavours.
May Governor Bello succeed.
May Kogi become greater.
May Ebiraland be lifted.
